Tailors (for Recital Costume Alterations)
NOTE: There have been occasions where a parent or a tailor has misunderstood what needed to be done to a costume. After Mr. Paul spoke to the tailor and clarified what was needed, there was no problem. Call Mr. Paul on his cell phone at 302-545-8221 if you or your tailor has a question about altering a costume.
- “Scissors”

Several of our parents take their costume alterations to “Scissors”.
- Fida's Tailoring
2423 3rd Ave, Marcus Hook (Boothwyn), PA 19061, (610) 485-5958
Several of our parents take their costume alterations to Fida's.
Mr. Cimino, who has done alterations for our students in the past, has recommended Fida's in Boothwyn.
Cimino's Tailoring
4768 Pennell Rd, Aston, PA 19014, (610) 497-4766
(In the same shopping center as the Aston Post Office and our old studio.)
Costume alterations.
We used to send our students to Cimino’s Tailoring. Cimino’s did a wonderful job for us, however, they have had an increase in prom-season business and have said that they are now unable to handle our added recital volume.
We are currently researching additional tailors in the area who are willing to take on costume alteration work. Please contact us if you have suggestions for this list.
Parents who have sewing experience and who are willing to, for a fee, help with simple tasks such as sewing on straps and tightening seams should contact the studio if they feel they would like to pick up extra work.
Hairpieces
- Cedar Beauty Supply

The hair spray and gel you use for stage will darken your hair. When you go to the store to match your hair color, you should either have gel in your hair, wet your hair, or obtain a hairpiece that is a shade darker than your natural hair color.
NOTE: Talk to the studio office before buying a new hairpiece (especially students in our Performing Group classes).
