Fun Summer Dance and Craft Camp

Fairytale dreams will come to life through enchanting crafts and a royal dance performance at the end of each week. Fairytales always have a happy ending at our camp!

Every summer, we offer a fun Summer Dance and Craft Camp, designed for children at every level of dance education - from those with little or no training, to those who have had several years of classes. Dance Camp features daily classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Tumbling, plus Arts & Crafts. A mid-morning snack will be provided. There is an Informal Performance at the end of each week.

This is a full day program for ages 6½-9. (Parents of 6 year olds should contact the studio for the correct camp placement.) Extended care is also available for full day campers.

Students may arrive as early as 8:30 a.m. and should be picked up at 3:00 p.m. unless you have registered for extended care. Students will be divided by age and ability. All students should bring a nonperishable bag lunch. A mid-morning snack will be provided. There will be an informal performance of the dance numbers the students have learned on the Friday of each week. Students must be at least age 6 by January 1, 2015 or currently enrolled in our Child 2 level or above.

Extended Care: Extended care is available for ages 6 and up from 3:00 to 5:00 each day for an additional fee. Drop-in extended care is available with 24 hours notice. An afternoon snack will be provided.

• Due to the high demand for our summer programs, applications will be accepted and processed on a first come, first serve basis in the order in which they are received. No additional registrations can be accepted once the camp fills.

Clothing and Hair

Students may wear any color leotard or biketard.

Students may wear bare legs, footless or convertible tights, or dance shorts. Bring thin socks to wear with your dance shoes, (unless you have convertible tights).

Students should bring ballet or jazz shoes, and tap shoes or any hard soled shoes. (Outgrown last year's shoes? Trying ballet, jazz, or tap for the first time? Check the outgrown shoe exchange in our Ladies Changing Room. If you find a pair of shoes that fit, you may have them.)

Students should wear their hair in pigtails or double buns. No ponytails or single buns, since they get in the way during tumbling.

Students should bring a smock (or large t-shirt) to wear for craft time. (These T-shirts should not be worn for dance.)

Tax Deduction

Many are unaware that federal tax law may allow you to deduct the cost of day care. In some instances our Summer Dance Camps fall under the heading of Day Care. Speak to your accountant. You will need our Federal Tax ID Number, which we will be happy to supply to you.
